Meursault is the largest white wine area of the Côte de Beaune, although the entire production from this particular vineyard is only about 3000 bottles. The style of the Domaine Bitouzet Prieur is to produce a fairly steely style of Meursault designed for a long life, rather than a flattering youth. Even when young the wine is dry and characterful with stylish, interesting fruit, set against a gentle oak framework, which offsets and adds a further dimension to the wine.
