Chile Red Wines
BACKGROUND
Chile is probably one of the most propitious countries in the world for viticulture. Its production has expanded considerably, winemakers striving to improve quality with a point of difference.
Classic red grapes such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon used in Chilean winemaking produce European style wines with a touch more ripeness. Our ANTIGUAS RESERVAS CABERNET SAUVIGNON is a good example.
Thanks to the Andes mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, Chile's isolation results in a remarkable lack of pests in the vineyard. Good growing conditions mean that vines lived up to three times as long than in Europe.
NB. The Central Valley, original core area of production does not appear on the map.
